Old Testament 1
Genesis 41:1-49

[41:9 Then the chief butler spoke to Pharaoh, saying: I remember my faults this day.]

When pharaoh had a dream he couldn't interpret, that was when the butler remembered Joseph. When God says it is your time, circumstances that will make people who have forgotten you to remember you will happen, circumstances that will bring you out of your unpleasant situation will happen. Circumstances that will transform you will happen.

[41:16 So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace]

Notice how constantly Joseph was quick to acknowledge God as The one who interprets dreams.

We should emulate this. Whatever we have, whatever talent we have, we should know it’s because of God. We shouldn't take God's glory. When you get to that position you have been aiming at, no matter where you find yourself, ascribe God the glory.

A lot of people aren't where they should be because when God gave them small victory and was preparing them for greater wins, they failed to acknowledge God in that small win and that's why they are still where they are. God want those He can trust with talents that won’t promote self or pride but will be humble and ascribe Glory to Him.

[41:41 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt]

Also we need to be careful when we have an opportunity at the top. Imagine if Joseph stopped acknowledging God at this last stage. Because it's a bigger opportunity than the previous. Would God's plan be fulfilled in His life?

Joseph could have said, yes pharaoh I can interpret your dream, because he knows how powerful pharaoh is and how he could be favoured, but Joseph didn't, He has already formed a habit of acknowledging God and this also shows Joseph trust was in God.

We shouldn't only acknowledge God in the small setting, we should acknowledge Him also in a big setting.

Old Testament 2
psalms 18:30-50

We should trust God like we earlier mentioned. Joseph trusts God.

It is only Him that is perfect and can guide us. We can do it on our own. He is the only one that can save and deliver us

Furthermore, we should learn to give thanks to God like David.

New Testament
Matthew 24:1-28

{24:12} And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

{24:13} But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Jesus said in the last days the love of many shall wax cold. Aren’t we in the last days? where immorality is the new normal. Indecency is celebrated and the truth of Jesus is replaced with political correctness.

People who are living against God’s will are now more bold with their belief and it is common. Sin is so much that you feel left out for not participating.

I want to encourage you Christian not to be deceived. You are missing out on short time validation for God’s eternal life. (Romans 8:18 For i reckon that the sufferings of the present time are not comparable to the coming glory to be revealed to us.) Don’t let your love for God wax cold. Stay hot for Jesus. and the way to do that is by constantly studying the word of God, praying and fasting.

Jesus also said the gospel shall be preached, what part are you playing in the gospel of God to be preached? This is one of the ways to be hot for God. when you don’t have a burden for souls you are getting cold. You can’t love God and standby watch people perish in hell.

There are Christians today that are simply waiting for Rapture.

Your Job is not to simply wait for rapture. Jesus commanded us to preach the gospel. When you are saved, reach others to be saved too with the good news.

Jesus also said false prophets will be much and they will even perform signs and wonders.

it’s unfortunate that so many people are waiting for a sign before they can believe in God. Signs and wonders are great but they are not the criteria for believing in Jesus. Faith that Jesus is the son of God and He died and resurrected on the third day is all you need to believe in Jesus.

Jesus also mentioned there will be great tribulations.

In conclusion, Jesus told us all this to warn us, so that when it starts happening we will not panic and we will not be deceived.

How are we preparing for the second coming of Jesus? Are we just waiting? Are we tired ? Are we cold?

The second coming of Jesus will be sudden therefore we need to be at alert all times!
