Old Testament 1
Exodus 5:1 - 6:12

[5:14 Also the officers of the children of Israel, whom Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten and were asked, Why have you not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and today, as before?

5:15 Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried out to Pharaoh, saying, Why are you dealing thus with your servants?] KJV

People would rather be comfortable in their suffering than fight for their freedom. They would even fight anyone trying to free them.

Fighting for once freedom isn't easy, but freedom can't be compared to comfort in bondage.

The Israelites officers thought they would get special treatment because pharaoh put them in charge over the rest of Israelites. A slave is a slave. Bondage is bondage even if you get preferential treatment for a while, the taskmaster has control over you. And can hurt you without your consent. And those seconds hurt would make you forget all your former preferential treatment of years.

What has control over you? What sin has control over you?

Does flesh have control over you?

You are probably enjoying the pleasure now and you have given in to the power of flesh. Fight for your freedom!! Stop fighting the Spirit of God that wants to help you get your freedom. Getting your freedom is hard but worth it. Jesus Christ is here to help you.

When next you have the urge or the voice is telling you to do what displeases God, fight it. Listen to God's voice calling you Holy, righteous, sanctified, Salt of the world, Light.

[6:1 Then the LORD said to Moses, Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh. For with a strong hand he will let them go, and with a strong hand he will drive them out of his land

6:2 And God spoke to Moses and said to him: I am the LORD.] KJV

When God is working, sometimes it gets harder for you before it becomes easy. Just because the situation became worse doesn't mean God didn’t hear your prayers. He is working in your favor. Keep believing Him. He sees what we don't.

Pharaoh anger made him maltreated the Israelites more and later in the scripture we will read how that same anger made him angrily send Israelites away hurriedly and the Egyptians gave Israelites goods and possessions.

[6:9 So Moses spoke thus to the children of Israel; but they did not heed Moses, because of anguish of spirit and cruel bondage.] KJV

And one of the reasons people are not ready to fight for their freedom is because what has held them bondage has broken their spirit. But the good news is Christ is life and He is ready to set free. He will lift up your spirit. For as many that had been broken because of one or more reasons, God is lifting up your spirit and setting you free! And the joy of God will feel your heart!

Old Testament 2
Psalms 35, 36

This is a psalm of prayer that God should deliver from the hand of tormentor and a prayer to God for vengeance.

New Testament
Acts 2 :1-21

Peter who was scared and denied Jesus 3 times now have boldness after received the Holy Spirit

If you noticed, Peter always speaks with reference to the prophecy that has been made before, so when it happens, Peter knows it’s in fulfilment of the prophecy.

The Holy Spirit, His power and His gifts is for all believers. Ask God to fill you with the power of the Holy Spirit and bless you with the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Furthermore the concluding passage says 2:21 And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved. If you haven’t accepted Jesus Christ into your life, the criteria is simple, Just call on the name of the Lord! Call on Jesus to come into your life and you will be saved!
