Old Testament 1
Genesis 37
When you have a dream, be careful of who you tell.
If your dream is big and requires you telling a few people to get it accomplished, you need to make sure as possible that you are only telling those who will help you fulfill that dream.
It doesn’t matter how close you are to someone, you never really can tell.
As christians we have an edge because we can talk to God and God can lead us to the right people we can talk to.
"People love you to do well but not better than them"
Even those who love you might not support your dreams if it involves them bowing to you even if they don't say it.
[37:20 Come therefore, let us now kill him and cast him into some pit; and we shall say, Some wild beast has devoured him. We shall see what will become of his dreams
37:21 But Reuben heard it, and he delivered him out of their hands, and said, Let us not kill him ]
God used Reuben to destroy the plan of Joseph’s siblings to kill him.
It is the same people that tried to kill Joseph and sold him off that was also consoling Jacob.
Old Testament 2
Psalms 11, 12, 13, 14
To the chief Musician, A [Psalm] of David.
Do not be deceived with false teaching. God loves righteousness and He wants you to be righteous. Run away from sin.
Psalm 12 depicts the device of the enemy against the righteous one and they do not know that there is God looking at all what they do. And the wicked people thought they had finished the person not knowing that the place where God had planned for such to shine is where they catapulted him to. Just like the story of Joseph.
Also, we should learn to be humble and careful of what we say.
To the chief Musician, A [Psalm] of David.
[14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, [There is] no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, [there is] none that doeth good.]
New Testament
Matthew 21:1-32
Do not despise what comes out of little children’s mouths.
The children are not too young to listen to God’s word or pray. Teach them the word. Have devotions with them. Let them be around when you pray.
[21:19 And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, Let no fruit grow on you ever again Immediately the fig tree withered away.]
The Disciples have been with Jesus, they have seen Him healed the sick, opened the blind eyes, made the lame work and lots of other miracles. Jesus commanded a fig tree to dry and they are still shocked at the instant miracle.
This also happens today, some christians believe one miracle is easier than the other. All miracles are the same before God. At the mention of Jesus name every knee shall bow. Everything is subjected under Jesus authority and as Christians we have that authority in Christ (Phillipians 2:10). We just need to have faith and not doubt.
Jesus' authority was questioned. If Christ's authority was questioned by human beings when he was on earth, we should also expect to be tempted and questioned. The good news is Jesus already won and we only need to anchor our faith in Him.
21:31 Which of the two did the will of his father? They said to Him, The first Jesus said to them, Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you
Furthermore, Jesus told the parable of the two sons.
The parable is to make us understand REPENTANCE and OBEDIENCE.
If you are in the category of the son that told his father i will go but didn’t go, there’s still time for you to repent. God is willing to accept you with His Grace and mercy. Repent now and start doing the will of the father.
