Old Testament 1
Genesis 18
Is anything too hard for the LORD ?
Abraham entertained strangers that were in fact angels of the Lord. (Necessity given to hospitality demonstrated by him, 18:1-8).
They confirmed what God had earlier told Abraham that Sarah would conceive and have a child. Like Abraham laughed, Sarah also laughed, and the angels said, is there anything too hard for the Lord?
There's no impossibility with God!!
Trust Him. Believe Him. Whatever He says He will do, He will do it.
Furthermore in the scripture, Abraham tried to plead for Sodom and Gomorrah. He asked if God found 50 righteous persons would He still destroy Sodom and Gomorah? Abraham went from 50 people down to 10 and there weren't 10 righteous people in Sodom and Gomorrah..
(Abraham didn't know the lucky number is 1, he probably could have saved Sodom if he went down to 1, Lot could be the only righteous 1, or even if he wasn't. Abraham probably thought if there was 1 righteous man it wouldn't be enough to save the whole of Sodom. But God actually cares about just 1 person.
He left the 99 sheep just to save a lost 1 (Matthew 18:12).
Old Testament 2
Job 21
Job stated the reason why the evil people blossom and have everything at their reach without struggle, and get all they have without praying. Meanwhile the righteous struggle to have food to eat. Job made us understand that the evil people are kept for destruction and all their wealth will speak against them if they fail to surrender to God. Therefore don't envy the evil people nor their comfort so as not to get carried away, because the righteous shall inherit the world and the end of the righteous is peaceful.
New Testament
Matthew 10:1-25
[And as you go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. ]
This is our mandate as the disciple of Jesus
10:19 But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak;
10:20 for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.
Oftentimes we may be worried or anxious about what to say as Christians, but Jesus is reassuring us here that the Holy Spirit is our utterance. Hallelujah!
Jesus was preparing His disciples for what lies ahead. This is a valid message to us today. Jesus already told us we would be persecuted. The Holy Spirit is here to help us.
Don't give up the faith.
10:22 And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.
May God give us the strength to endure to the end.
